Available in medium and dark roast. These small packets pack a big punch. Our test kitchen concluded that if you're a fast drinker you can get 2 strong cups out of one single serve pack, maybe 3.
 
How to prepare:
1. Take one coffee bag out of the packet and place in your cup.
2. Pour hot water in the cup and gently dunk the coffee bag for 15-30 seconds.
3. Allow the steeped coffee bag to stay in the cup for 5 or more minutes depending on your taste.
4. Enjoy a delicious cup of java!

About Kahawa 1893 from Founder, Margaret Nyamumbo:
 
“Kahawa” means “coffee” in Swahili - our language - and 1893 is when our story begins. While coffee’s origins can be traced back to ancient forests in Ethiopia, coffee had to travel around the world before it made its way back to Africa, in 1893.

My grandfather was a driver for the colonial government, and managed to get his hands on some seedlings to start his own coffee farm. Growing up in a community of coffee farmers, I witnessed the inequalities within the coffee industry - women provided 90% of the labor, but didn’t own land.

After studying abroad in the USA, I returned home with some ideas on how to bring Kenyan coffee to the world in a way that benefits our women farmers the most. I invite you to help me ensure that women farmers reap the rewards from their hard work.
